The CCA is responsible for reviewing all applications from faculty who desire to be appointed as adjoint
faculty in the InterInstitutional BME Department. The following materials must be submitted via e-mail to
the Chair of the CCA:

1. Short application form (see attached), signed by applicant and applicant's Department Chair;
2. Half-page statement of interest*;
3. Biographical sketch (NIH format, 2 pages);
4. Letter of support from a current BME faculty member.

*The statement of interest should describe the applicant's past and current involvement and commitment to
InterInstitutional BME Department activities (i.e., supervision of BME graduate students, teaching of BME
graduate and/or undergraduate courses, administrative positions in the Department, service on Departmental
Committees, etc.). For new faculty, proposed plans for commitment should be described.
The CCA will send out solicitations for applications to the affiliated faculty at UT MD Anderson and UT
Health Science Center at Houston. Any faculty member may apply at any time.
